The Colina MIddle School Drama department led by our dynamic director, Mrs. Burke, once again scored a successful run of performances with our rendition of Romeo and Juliet from April 22-April 24, 2010. This group of 7th and 8th graders delivered drama worthy of much older students.
The audience was riveted in the live sword scenes, doubled over with laughter in the comedy scenes, enthralled in the love scenes and teary eyed in the death scenes. The play as produced by Colina was a delight for the senses with its beautiful scenes and costumes, exquisite use of the English language, wonderful acting, professional lighting and sound, and fabulous directing. The students were involved in every facet of the production of this play. This was the experience of a life time for them.
The drama department consists of 60 plus students and all plays are produced with two full casts.
Photos from the play will be posted soon.
